Jennifer Moon

Hello and welcome!

I’m Jen — a birth doula, childbirth and early infancy educator, lactation counselor, and mom of two teens.

Before focusing my work on perinatal support, I earned my Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University in 2021. While I don’t provide medical care or advice in my role as a doula, my background allows me to offer evidence-based insight and thoughtful guidance throughout your journey into parenthood.

I believe the heart of a healthy society lies in the strength of its families — and that every parent deserves to feel supported as they grow into this new role. During my medical training, I witnessed how profoundly a person’s physical and emotional well-being can be shaped by the presence — or absence — of nurturing care. That understanding led me to focus on the earliest stages of parenting, where so much of a family’s foundation is formed.

As part of that professional shift, I completed birth doula training at Bastyr University, followed by the Physicians’ Lactation Consultant Training Program (LCTP) and Lamaze educator training. I’ve also taken continuing‑education courses in Spinning Babies concepts and techniques centered on pelvic balance and rotation‑supporting positions. Wanting to work directly with families, I now have the privilege of leading both newborn and older‑infant groups through PEPS (Program for Early Parent Support).

As a seasoned mom, I know how quickly things can change — and how unprepared even the most prepared of us can sometimes feel. Birth and early parenting are full of surprises, and it’s normal to feel overwhelmed. But I truly believe that informed parents are empowered parents. With compassionate care throughout pregnancy and birth, my goal is to help you feel calm, confident, and ready to meet whatever comes your way.
